Leeward

$175.00

9x12 layered watercolor on paper

“The instinctive act of humankind was to stand and listen, and learn how the trees on the right and the trees on the left wailed or chaunted to each other in the regular antiphonies of a cathedral choir; how hedges and other shapes to leeward then caught the note, lowering it to the tenderest sob; and how the hurrying gust then plunged into the south, to be heard no more.”~ Far From The Madding Crowd by Thomas Hardy

This is the January work from 2024’s monthly series—Home—monthly watercolors of interiors and exteriors framed with hand painted wallpaper inspired borders. This landscape was painted from a photograph taken in England. Wherever I am, rolling hills always feel like home to me (especially when there are sheep).

Prints are archival quality giclee prints on high quality watercolor-textured paper, to look as much like the original as possible!

Due to being a true small business, artwork ships in 5-10 business days.

“For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him.
And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together.” - Colossians 1:16-17
